The Bristol Indoor Arena was the stage for a lively day of competition as teams from across the region came together. Represented were two sides from Defford, one from Ripple, and of course the ever-spirited Deer Park Archers, joined by visiting teams from Bristol & Avon, Llansamlet, North End, Saltford, and Woolhope.
With the arena buzzing — and traffic building outside as fans made their way to the Scotland v England women’s rugby at Ashton Gate — the action on the rinks didn’t disappoint. Ripple made a dream start, recording a rare Hot Shot (when every bowl counts, a feat worthy of both applause and a club certificate). It set the tone for a spirited day of play.
The round robin stage saw plenty of close matches, but it was Deer Park Archers who secured their ticket into the Cup, only narrowly missing out as the two strong Woolhope teams went head-to-head in a thrilling final.
It was a day of camaraderie, competition, and a reminder of why tournaments like this bring out the very best in our sport. Congratulations to all who took part — and especially to Ripple for their celebrated Hot Shot achievement!
