Website Communications & Development Guideline

Purpose

To ensure the County website remains a transparent, inclusive and representative platform for all affiliated clubs, competitions and members.

Principles

1. Transparency

  • All fixtures, results and statistics will continue to be published accurately and consistently.
  • Competition administration remains separate from editorial tone or commentary.

2. Balanced Representation

  • News coverage should reflect the breadth of county activity, including leagues, county fixtures, club events, development initiatives and open competitions.
  • No individual or club should receive disproportionate coverage outside of genuine news value.

3. Inclusive Promotion

  • Clubs will be encouraged to submit match reports, photographs and good-news stories.
  • Development and community initiatives should be actively highlighted alongside competitive success.

4. Regional Collaboration

  • Open tournaments organised by our immediate neighbouring counties shall be promoted where appropriate.
  • The website will support reciprocal visibility to encourage participation and strengthen regional relationships.

5. Editorial Neutrality

  • Articles involving website administrators or committee members should, where practical, be reviewed by a second person before publication.
  • Automated reporting formats should be used where possible to maintain consistency and impartiality.

6. Development Focus

  • The website should promote growth of the sport by:
    • Showcasing participation
    • Supporting recruitment initiatives
    • Highlighting volunteer contributions
    • Celebrating county representation

Review
