Welcome your Over 55 Pairs champions, Pam Belton and Tony Smith from Kingsway
The Over 55 Pairs Championship kicked off with 17 teams competing in a thrilling 4-group, 5-mat round-robin format. The semi-finals featured dominant performances by teams from Kingsway, Ripple, and Defford, along with representation from Yorkley, including former pairs champions.
In the final, Pam Belton and Tony Smith from Kingsway showcased exceptional skill to defeat Ian Broderick and Phil Jennings. Broderick and Jennings, who were competing as runners-up for the second time and are also former champions, put up a strong fight.
The day was a resounding success, thanks to the seamless organisation by Chris Evans, whose efforts ensured the tournament ran effortlessly.
