The first of the 3 finals in the summer league was played last evening the ‘Eliminator round’ for teams finishing 7th to 10th.
Yorkley Merlins finished on top with 2 wins and a draw. They were living dangerously though. 5 shots down in the first game against Forest of Dean, only to get a 6 and win by one shot. In the last match against Ripple it was a winner take all situation which went down to the last couple of shots ending in a 4 all draw.
The Merlins now go on to the play offs tomorrow at Ripple and join Westbury Hurricanes, Longhope and Yorkley Falcons with the winners going on to next Tuesdays final night at Wotton hall.
