This year’s mixed fours event saw six teams compete in a straight league format, expertly organised by Chris, with a “winner takes all” approach. It was great to welcome teams from Defford, Yorkley, Kingsway, and Ripple, as well as a mixed group that came together to form a team, showcasing creativity in team formation.
After four intense games, the competition was still wide open going into the final round, with four teams in contention for the title. Ultimately, it was Defford’s team—featuring Carol, Mike, Jo, and Saul—that emerged victorious with four wins. Close behind were Yorkley’s team of Mike, Lin, Marlene and Julian who secured three wins and a draw.
A big thank you to Chris for organising such an enjoyable event. We look forward to seeing even more teams from across the county join the competition next year!
