Defford and Deer Park Archers proudly represented Gloucestershire at the Open Fours competition hosted by the Woolhope Club. The event saw a full complement of 32 teams from Hereford and surrounding areas battling it out in a day of intense competition.
After three closely contested round-robin matches, both Defford and Deer Park remained in contention for the Cup. Deer Park fought hard in their clash against Llansamlet, a match so tight that only seven points were scored. Unfortunately, they narrowly missed out on the next round.
Defford, however, continued their strong run and went all the way, securing the silverware in an impressive display of teamwork and skill.
Beyond the competition, the event served a greater purpose—raising funds for St Michael’s Hospice, a charity close to all our hearts. The generosity and support from everyone involved help this vital organisation continue its incredible work in the community.
