THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE OUTDOORS ON THE ALL WEATHER BOWLS GREEN

ENTRIES.  Up to 2 TEAMS PER CLUB (current structure assumes an entry of 12 teams

TEAMS. Will consist of a minimum of 5 players (no maximum)

FORMAT.(with 12 teams) The event will be split into 2 groups of 6 teams. Teams will play each other at pairs (3 woods) and triples. Group games over 7 ends, Knock out games over 8 ends. The top 2 teams from each group will go into the main draw semi finals and final, third and fourth placed teams will play for the plate, and 5th and 6th teams for the ‘spoon’

All teams will therefore play 5 group games and 1 or 2 play off games.

Players can move between pairs and triples as the team captain decides and extra players can be substituted at any time during a match. (as teams will be playing between 43 and  51 ends, teams may wish to consider a squad of more than 5 players)

8-30 Mats marked out and ready for use by 9-15am

9-15 to 9-45  signing on, with list of team members and entry fee

9-15 to 10    Free practise, after signing on

10.00  First group matches

            Second group matches

Coffee break

11.45  Third group matches

             Fourth group matches

Lunch break

1.45    Fifth group matches

2.45    Semi-finals (main, plate, spoon)

3.45    Finals

4.45 approx   Presentations and clear up

ENTRIES open on receipt of this notice and close on April 28th

ENTRY FEE  (payable on the day)  £25 per team. (a reduction of £5 if a set of equipment is loaned for the event.

Refreshments will be available from the clubhouse all day, inc; drinks, bacon rolls etc; (We would ask you to support the host club )
