a. Secretary (including correspondence)

• Request to National Lottery Fund for grant to purchase electric mat roller has been refused
  (see Attachment for grounds for refusal). Is this worth pursuing, given our move to GL1.
• Attended ESMBA AGM with League Secretary, AGM minutes now published and circulated
  separately. Note particularly: requirement to collect date of birth when affiliating members to
  ESMBA (for safeguarding and other reasons); proposals on changes to the ICC discussed at
  Open Forum – if agreed, will not be introduced until 2027-28 season; increase in fees.
• Club registration deadline is 31 August: 12 clubs have renewed their registration with
  GSMBA as of 12 August; reminder to be sent to those clubs who have not yet rejoined.
• I have now switched my distribution list for club contacts to use the club/officer forwarding
  address, as listed on the website, rather than individual addresses. I will make sure that any
  changes to club contacts are reflected on the website. /mail-forwarders/
