Our air-conditioned Washington Ballroom is an excellent venue for Short mat bowls. With space for up to 5 mats, you can play whatever the weather! The game is played like other forms of the sport, with full-sized bowls being used to bowl up and down the carpet. In just a few short years, the sport has grown in popularity to over 100,000 players, and this popularity shows no signs of slowing down; many other parts of the world are taking up the sport and having fun!

Men and women compete equally together, so techniques are truly tested. A great family sport, the ages of players range from 9 to over 90 (that we are aware of anyway!).
