The AGM of the Gloucestershire SMBA will be held in the Green Room at Churchdown Community Centre, Parton Road, Churchdown on Friday 28th April 2023 at 7.00pm. It will be followed by a Discussion Forum and conclude with the Annual Presentation of Prizes. An outline agenda is attached to this notice and a final agenda will be published immediately after the closure of nominations (see below). While all GSMBA members will be welcome, only mandated delegates from registered clubs (2 per club) may cast votes at the meeting, separately and in accordance with the direction of that club.
All officer positions are open to election; to this end the name of any nominee for a position should be advised in writing to the Secretary by Friday 14 April 2023. Each nominee should be proposed and seconded by members of the GSMBA, and any nominated person must indicate that he/she is willing to serve as an officer. The present officers willing to stand again are indicated on the attached outline agenda and are taken as nominated and seconded by the Committee. The County Team Captain will be elected at the meeting and will be co-opted as officers of the Association.
Any Motions or proposals for discussion at the AGM should be submitted to the Secretary in writing (e-mail is acceptable) by 14 April 2023, so that they can be distributed to all clubs for consideration by members. Only motions so notified and appearing on the final agenda may be debated at the AGM, though amendments may be proposed from the floor of the meeting.
One motion, on Winter League rules, has been proposed so far: the working party’s proposals were circulated after the last Committee meeting and a final version will be attached to the final agenda.
Though not requiring formal notification, it would also be helpful if you could let me know of any items for the Discussion Forum, so that delegates and members can prepare for what may be discussed.
RETURN OF TROPHIES for ENGRAVING
To allow time for engraving of Trophies ahead of the Presentation, could you please return any County Cups & Trophies to me as soon as possible. I already have most of them and will enquire directly with those who may hold any outstanding ones.
