DESCRIPTION:The playoffs will feature the 3rd\, 4th\, 5th\, and 6th placed teams from Division A and Division B\, creating an exciting event to conclude the league season. \n \nStandings after 24 games (at 20-Aug) \nDivision A\n3rd Kingsway (Cygnets)\n4th Ripple (Rooks)\n5th Westbury (Wellingtons)\n6th Longhope (Foxes) \nDivision B\n3rd Defford (Sapphires)\n4th Westbury (Hurricaines)\n5th Forest of Dean (Stags)\n6th Yorkley (Canaries) \n\nSummer League Playoffs. \nApart from roadworks hampering the participants from the forest side\, the evening went very smoothly.\nFirstly a big thank you to Kingsway for providing the venue and putting out the mats ect.\, Monica and Becky for keeping the scores\, the ladies who served refreshments and of course all the players and spectators.\nThe feedback has been positive\, it gave an opportunity to meet a few of the players from the “other group” that we had not played against since last winter. \nResult \nAfter 2 games all the teams had won 1 game and lost 1 game\, everything to play for at the resumption of play after the tea break. \nGroup (A) \nWestbury (Wellingtons) 8 points\, shots\, 21 for 17 against. 1st place.\nKingsway (Cygnets)      8 points\, shots\, 17 for 15 against. 2nd place.\nRipple (Rooks)              4 points\, shots\, 23 for 16 against. 3rd place\nLonghope(Foxes)          4 points\, shots\, 13 for 26 against. 4th place \nGroup (B) \nYorkley (Canaries)         8 points\, shots\, 24 for 16 against. 1st place.\nDefford (Sapphires)       8 points\, shots\, 22 for 20 against. 2nd place.\nWestbury (Hurricanes)   4 points\, shots\, 17 for 19 against. 3rd place.\nForest of Dean (Stags)   4 points\, shots 15 for 23 against. 4th place. \nCongratulations to all that took part\, the games were very competitive but still played in the right spirit.\nWestbury (Wellingtons) and Yorkley (Canaries) go forward to Wotton Hall on the 18/09/25 to play in the semi-finals along with\, Kingsway (Swans) and Yorkley (Kestrels)

DESCRIPTION:Revised Date … POSTPONED due to Bereavement \nYorkley (Kestrels)\, Kingsways (Swans) plus two play-off winners\nWestbury (Wellingtons) and Yorkley (Canaries) \nA packed Wotton Hall Social Club saw supporters filling both sides of the venue\, creating a lively atmosphere. The evening’s matches were all but decided after the first two games\, with Yorkley (Kestrels) and Kingsway (Swans) securing victories. These wins mean they now progress to face Defford (Diamonds) and Yorkley (Falcons) at Ripple on 02 October. \nA big thank you goes to Wotton Hall for hosting\, and for providing teas and refreshments. There was plenty of friendly chat about the upcoming league\, the County Championships at Kingsway\, and the eagerly anticipated Knockout Cup draw. \nTo round off the evening\, Gary raised £80 for Cancer Care Supporters – a fantastic effort for a great cause.

SUMMARY:Autumn Short Mat Festival 2025
DESCRIPTION:Our Autumn Short Mat Festival is another major event of the short mat calendar. You can choose to stay at either the TLH Derwent or the TLH Toorak Hotel while bowling daily on our indoor arena. We lay up to 16 mats on the arena which gives an excellent playing surface. There is lots of opportunity to bowl both as part of the triples competition as well as the optional pairs competition. \nWhichever hotel you choose to stay at you will enjoy dinner\, bed and breakfast. \nIncluded in the break is a welcome drinks reception giving you a chance to mix and mingle with your fellow competitors. \nOur evening entertainment features our great cabaret acts plus the TLH Entertainment Team’s show. With the added advantage of bingo\, day time activities and some of the best leisure facilities in Torquay you can be sure that every moment of your stay will be enjoyable and create lasting memories. \nIf you bowl as a pair or an individual our bowls co-ordinator will be happy to discuss creating a team of 3 for you. \n\nArrive on Sunday with roll ups and registration\nWelcome Drinks Reception\nBowling on up to 16 mats on the arena\nMain competition – 2 wood triples\nOptional pairs competition\nPlate competitions to ensure bowling every day\nPrize money for triples and pairs competitions\nAll finals played on Thursday
