DESCRIPTION:Our annual charity fund raising tournament in aid of Macmillan Cancer support will be held at Leominster Leisure Centre\, Bridge Street HR6 8EA again this year. This year it is on Sunday 26th November 2023.\nEntry this year is £28.00 per team. Email your entry form to the county competition secretary on competitionsec@hsmba.org and pay by bank transfer using the following details –\nSort code 30-98-97\, account no 61819160\, account name HSMBA\, identify payment as Macmillan.\nAlternatively post your entry form together with cheque payable to HSMBA to Rebecca Cox\, 2 Croft Cottages\, Little Tarrington\, Herefordshire\, HR1 4JD.\nThere is one guaranteed team for each club\, but clubs are invited to indicate how many further teams they would like to enter\, if places are available. However\, please DO NOT include money for any further teams at this stage. Once all entries have been received there will be a draw for any remaining places after all the guaranteed places have been allocated – match details\, playing times etc..\, will be forwarded to each club well in advance of the day.\nIt is our intention that this tournament (which is open to registered and non-registered players) will provide the opportunity for bowlers\, to meet in a friendly and competitive atmosphere – to give everyone the chance to have a thoroughly enjoyable day\, whilst raising as much money as possible for the worthy cause.\nWith up to 40 teams playing – the match format will be teams of four\, playing two woods each; all teams will play four games to a timed format of 40 minutes per game\, with two points for a win and one point for a draw.\nTea\, coffee and cakes will be available throughout the day\, but everyone should bring their own lunch – there will be a separate room available for refreshments and the rest periods between games.\nThis is always a very popular competition and the support we have had in the past is very much appreciated\, but to ensure your place(s) please return your entry form as quickly as possible.\nClosing date will be 23rd October 2023 \n

DESCRIPTION:The UK Open was first played in 2012 in Guildford before moving to Bromsgrove in 2013. 2017 saw the tournament move again\, this time to Chelmsford. \nIt is traditionally the first ranking event of the season. \nFormat\n\nPlayers will be in groups of 5 or 6.\nThe top 2 players from each group will qualify for the main Cup.\nThird and Fourth placed players will qualify for the Plate.\nThe remaining players will qualify for the Shield.\nSaturday: Registration is from 7.45am-8.45am.\nPractice is allowed from 8am-8.45am and play commences at 9am on both days.\nGroup games will be played on Saturday and Sunday morning with the knock-out stages following on Sunday afternoon.\nPlayers will be required to mark up to 3 games during the group stage and a knockout game.

But you have to be quick places are limited and go fast! \n\n\n\n\nHow many per Team? \n\n\n\n\n\nThere are 3 players on a team and you are allowed one substitute. \n\n\n\n\nWill there be stalls this year? \n\n\n\n\n\nYes! There will be a selection of craft stalls\, with limited spaces. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWill there be anything for the Kids to do? \n\n\n\n\n\nWe will have a Kids Zone over at the Village Hall! With plenty of activities to keep them entertained! \n\n\n\n\nWill the Hight Street be closed for traffic? \n\n\n\n\n\nYes! From  7am – 9pm the main High Street is OFF LIMITED for all forms of traffic – Including motor vehicles\, horses and cyclists! \n\n\n\n\nWill there be the famous Crépe stall there? \n\n\n\n\n\nAbsolutely! We love the crépe stall as much as you! \n\n\n\n\nWill there be a Duck Race this year? \n\n\n\n\n\nThe Duck Race takes place on Sunday 16th this year!

SUMMARY:Kingsway: Ladies Open Triples Competition
DESCRIPTION:Closing date for entries will be Saturday 29th April 2023 \nThis year we intend to raise money for The Sue Ryder Hospice in Memory of Pam Farley who sadly passed away after a brave fight against cancer in 2019. \nWe are therefore inviting Clubs to once again participate in the competition and help raise much needed funds whilst at the same time enjoying a ladies only tournament. \nThe competition will be two groups. Each team playing four games in their group\, 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw\, if equal on points then the winner will be decided on ends won then shot difference. \nEach game will be limited to 40 minutes or 10 ends\, whichever comes first\, with 3 bowls for each player. The full rules and the order of play will be sent on receipt of your confirmation. We will again hope to see bowlers wearing something that is pink and therefore the normal ESMBA rules on dress code will not be applicable with exception to bowling shoes. \nIf able to accept our invitation then please complete and return the attached form and include the £24 registration fee per team. This will be returned if we are over subscribed. First 16 teams entered will be accepted. \nOnce again bacon butties will be available during the day for players and spectators (especially for those needing to make an early start) as well as tea and coffee with cakes in the afternoon. \nI do hope you are able to participate and look forward to seeing you on the day.  \nTeresa
