DESCRIPTION:THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE OUTDOORS ON THE ALL WEATHER BOWLS GREEN\n\nENTRIES.  Up to 2 TEAMS PER CLUB (current structure assumes an entry of 12 teams\n\nTEAMS. Will consist of a minimum of 5 players (no maximum)\n\n \nFORMAT.(with 12 teams) The event will be split into 2 groups of 6 teams. Teams will play each other at pairs (3 woods) and triples. Group games over 7 ends\, Knock out games over 8 ends. The top 2 teams from each group will go into the main draw semi finals and final\, third and fourth placed teams will play for the plate\, and 5th and 6th teams for the ‘spoon’\n\nAll teams will therefore play 5 group games and 1 or 2 play off games.\nPlayers can move between pairs and triples as the team captain decides and extra players can be substituted at any time during a match. The game is played like other forms of the sport\, with full-sized bowls being used to bowl up and down the carpet. In just a few short years\, the sport has grown in popularity to over 100\,000 players\, and this popularity shows no signs of slowing down; many other parts of the world are taking up the sport and having fun! \nMen and women compete equally together\, so techniques are truly tested. DESCRIPTION:Our annual charity fund raising tournament in aid of Macmillan Cancer support will be held at Leominster Leisure Centre\, Bridge Street HR6 8EA again this year. This year it is on Sunday 26th November 2023.\nEntry this year is £28.00 per team. Email your entry form to the county competition secretary on competitionsec@hsmba.org and pay by bank transfer using the following details –\nSort code 30-98-97\, account no 61819160\, account name HSMBA\, identify payment as Macmillan.\nAlternatively post your entry form together with cheque payable to HSMBA to Rebecca Cox\, 2 Croft Cottages\, Little Tarrington\, Herefordshire\, HR1 4JD.\nThere is one guaranteed team for each club\, but clubs are invited to indicate how many further teams they would like to enter\, if places are available. However\, please DO NOT include money for any further teams at this stage. DESCRIPTION:ESMBA Registered members are invited to enter for the England Trials with a view to earning a place in the England Squad. All entrants are reminded that they should only enter these trials if they are prepared to accept a place in the England Team if selected. Dates for the 2023/24 season are shown below.\nThe England Team Management will select players from the trials to join with the players who win a National Championship in the Singles\, Pairs\, Triples or Fours to form the England Squad for the forthcoming season. To be eligible for selection players must either win a National Championship or enter the England Trials.\nCounty Managers may nominate players to the England Team Management who will then invite players to take part in the trials. Alternatively\, individuals may themselves complete this form and apply to take part. The England Team Management will invite players to attend a one day trial. SUMMARY:Kingsway: Ladies Open Triples Competition
DESCRIPTION:Closing date for entries will be Saturday 29th April 2023 \nThis year we intend to raise money for The Sue Ryder Hospice in Memory of Pam Farley who sadly passed away after a brave fight against cancer in 2019. \nWe are therefore inviting Clubs to once again participate in the competition and help raise much needed funds whilst at the same time enjoying a ladies only tournament. \nThe competition will be two groups. Each team playing four games in their group\, 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw\, if equal on points then the winner will be decided on ends won then shot difference. \nEach game will be limited to 40 minutes or 10 ends\, whichever comes first\, with 3 bowls for each player. The full rules and the order of play will be sent on receipt of your confirmation. We will again hope to see bowlers wearing something that is pink and therefore the normal ESMBA rules on dress code will not be applicable with exception to bowling shoes. \nIf able to accept our invitation then please complete and return the attached form and include the £24 registration fee per team. This will be returned if we are over subscribed. First 16 teams entered will be accepted. \nOnce again bacon butties will be available during the day for players and spectators (especially for those needing to make an early start) as well as tea and coffee with cakes in the afternoon. \nI do hope you are able to participate and look forward to seeing you on the day.  \nTeresa
